I feel truly blessed to have worked so closely with Caryn Solly during her time at About.com. As one of her direct reports, I learned so many important lessons that Caryn graciously took time to share — how to communicate more effectively to see results, how to manage time and delegate responsibilities, and how to balance warmth, humor, and fun in the professional workplace.
Caryn was a true asset to About.com, not only because of her unmatched knowledge of the company itself, but because of the passion and work ethic she demonstrated on a daily basis. One of the things I admire most about Caryn is her ability to always stay two steps ahead. She sees the bigger picture, she voices the concern or opinion that others haven’t even thought of yet, and she brainstorms tirelessly to make sure all decisions made are in the best interest of her team and the company as a whole.
I only wish I had more time with Caryn at the helm. With her integrity and her leadership, any team can feel confident they are in the right hands.
