I worked with Caryn at About.com for three years, and reported to her directly for two of those years. Her contributions to About.com and to the Guide community were endless. Her extensive knowledge of the company, its history, content, and technology set her apart from the rest. She is an excellent problem solver who is always seeking out ways to improve on current processes and procedures.
Caryn was an exemplary manager and cared very much about the growth and well being of those who reported directly to her. Whether she was sharing her knowledge, listening to what we had to say, helping us achieve our goals, or finding ways to make ordinary or mundane tasks fun. Caryn always went the extra mile for her team. I am beyond grateful for the wonderful example she set, and all that I took away from our experience working together.
Caryn would be an asset to any team, and those directly reporting to her will be extremely lucky.
