How to Kill Bed Bugs

There are several things you can do to partner with the PMP to get rid of bed bugs. Stay in communication with your exterminator.  The exterminator will give you instructions, and it behooves you to follow them to the best of your ability.

Allow the exterminator access to your space. The PMP can be most effective when he or she can access as many surfaces as possible, and reducing clutter leaves fewer places for bedbugs to hide.

• Move furniture away from the walls
• Empty drawers and closets
• Remove clutter

Moving beds away from the wall can also keep bed bugs from crawling between the mattress and the wall.  Some will also recommend putting the legs of a bed into containers of waiter or oil to keep bugs from crawling from the floor onto the bed.
