My history with the Internet

1993: My family first got online in approximately 1993. We used Prodigy. I used their propriety service, and didn’t know how to use the web browser. I had an email address, and I used it to contact a friend who had already gone off to college.

1997: I taught myself HTML from an HTML for Dummies book.

1998: I wrote my first personal homepage, which was hosted for free on Tripod.

2000: I started working in the Internet industry after graduating from Boston University with a journalism degree.

2001: I started my first blog, hosted by Blogger, inspired by a friend who was keeping an online journal.

Present: I am establishing an integrated online presence using carynsolly.com.
